Charlotte Murphy MDA member of the Neuroscience Education Institute, Charlotte Murphy, MD, is an experienced psychiatrist who, since 2008, has managed a private practice in New York. There, she provides psychiatric evaluations and treatment to individuals with addictions, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder , anxiety, and neurodegenerative disorders. As part of her practice, Charlotte Murphy, MD, works with private and government insurance payers to gain approval for medications and treatment plans, and maintains collaborative relationships with social workers, primary care doctors, infectious disease specialists, and mental health counselors to coordinate proper patient care. She has also delivered numerous educational presentations on topics like mental illness and reproductive psychiatry at conferences, support groups, and community meetings. Furthermore, she served as a guest lecturer to students in the SUNY New Paltz Mental Health Counseling Program in 2016.
Before establishing her practice, Dr. Charlotte Murphy completed a four-year psychiatry residency at the UCLA Neuropsychiatric Institute. She received her doctor of medicine from the University of California at San Diego, and previously earned a master's degree in public health from UCLA and a bachelor's degree in social studies from UC Berkeley, where she was a member of Phi Beta Kappa.
